American unscripted television star Kim Kardashian has purchased a pendant once claimed by Princess Diana for nearly $200,000 (₹ 1.6 crore).
The 42-year-old has allegedly bought the precious stone encrusted amethyst Attallah cross pendant once worn by the late illustrious for $197,453 (160,000) at Sotheby’s yearly Imperial and Honorable sale, as indicated by IANS.
The pendant is supposed to be one of Princess Diana’s #1 pieces. Princess Diana passed on in an auto collision in 1997 at 36 years old.
About the jewelry
The princess wore the cross-formed pendant in October 1987, matched with a Catherine Walker dress, to a cause occasion on the side of Inheritance, a foundation pursuing the security of basic liberties during pregnancy and labor.
Sotheby London’s Head of Gems, Kristian Spofforth, said in an explanation, “This is a striking piece of adornments by its size, variety, and style which can’t neglect to offer a lively expression, whether it be of confidence or design – – or to be sure both. We are glad that this piece has tracked down another rent of life inside the hands of another internationally renowned name.”
Supposedly, the cross has a complete jewel weight of roughly 5.25 carats and measures around 136 x 95mm.
