A couple from Kolkata amused netizens about their unique wedding with out of the box menu. The lockdown was filled with zoom weddings, guests enjoy food couriered to their doorstep and so much more. But this couple became a sensation among the netizens with their unique menu. They printed their wedding menu in the template of Adhaar card.
The digits in the Adhaar card were replaced with the wedding date. It is so good to see different things isn’t it? They got married on February 1 and it turned out to be one of their most memorable days as their adhaar card menu went viral on the internet. Subarna is a health care professional and Gogol is a marketing and advertising employee. Both of them are supporters of Digital India and thus it turned out to be this.
When asked about the crazy idea, Gogol said: “It was my wife Subarna’s thought, and as we both support ‘Digital India’ what could have been a better way to show support than this? Guests were surprised to see the menu card and some even wondered if the Aadhaar card was made mandatory to even attend weddings these days. Many even asked me if I left my Aadhaar card on the dining table, and this was extremely funny (sic).”
The Adhaar card inspired menu had a delicious range of starters like Chicken Lollipop, Fried Prawns, Crispy Baby Corn, and Coffee. The main course had all the Bengali wedding delicacies like Peas Kachori, Stuffed Potatoes, Fried Fish, and Mutton Kasha, Fried rice besides salad, Kasundi, Chatni, and Papad. Dessert? Sondesh, Roshogulla and much more.
