The Income Tax department has issued an order for the attachment of a flat owned by senior Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani in the national capital.
An order addressed to Geelani by the Income Tax Recovery Officer, New Delhi, reads: “Whereas the assessing officer has sent to the undersigned a certified copy of the certificate specifying an amount of Rs 3,62,62,160 plus interest is recoverable from you.”
