A 28-year-old Meta worker has rented a condo on an extravagance voyage transport so he can venture to the far corners of the planet while working from a distance.
Austin Wells, a worker of Meta’s World Labs, purchased a 12-year rent for a townhouse on MV Story, a super voyage transport which houses more than 500 confidential rooms and condos.
Wells told CNBC over a video call recently that he was eager to investigate new objections while keeping a daily schedule. “What most energizes me is I don’t need to overturn my day to day everyday practice, to go see the world,” he said.
“I’m going from this model where you need to head off to some place, you gather a sack, you get on a flight, you lease a room – to now my townhouse, my exercise center, my PCPs and dental specialists, all of my supermarkets venture to the far corners of the planet with me,” Wells added.
The Meta worker burned through $300,000 (Rs 2.4 crore roughly) on a 12-year rent for a section level loft on MV Story.
