Karthik, the actor-turned-politician is returning to action with the Dhanush-starrer Anegan directed by K.V. Anand, the cinematographer-turned-director who has made successful films such as Ayan and Ko in the past.
Bollywood’s model-turned-actress Amyra Dastur, who is of Parsi origin and who speaks only English and Gujarati, makes her debut as heroine in Kollywood opposite the national award-winning Dhanush in Anegan. Dhanush has had a mixed bag this year so far at the box-office with his debut Hindi film Raanjhanaa doing very well but his much-expected Maryan faltered at the box-office.
Atul Kulkarni, Ashish Vidyarthi and Jagan play prominent roles in the film. Anegan refers to as ‘a person of many versions’ in pure Tamil. In a first of its kind, Harris scores the music for the first time for a Dhanush-starrer. Omprakash takes care of the cinematography while the duo of ‘Subha’ pens the story, screenplay and dialogues along with K.V. Anand who directs the film.
The shoot would take the crew to countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Bilivia.
