Mohammed Salah’s contract negotiations appear to have broken down. According to Reds boss, Jurgen Klopp, the final decision is up to the Egyptian, and best Australian online casinos wishes to see how it unfolds.

“I think Mo definitely expects this club to be ambitious, we were in the last years and we are… no, of course we cannot do much more [in the talks], that’s how it is,” Klopp told the club’s website ahead of the team’s weekend meeting with Brighton.

“But I don’t think it’s about that, I think meanwhile it is Mo’s decision pretty much; I think the club did what the club can do, that’s how it is. There’s nothing to say about it, it’s all fine. From my point of view it’s exactly like it should be in this moment in time and everything is said. Nothing happened further, so no signing, no rejection or whatever. So we just have to wait for that, it’s completely fine. There is no rush in that situation.”

Salah’s current deal expires at the end of next season. It is clear why the Reds are desperate to hold on to the 29-year-old. This season, he has a league-leading 19 goals in 25 Premier League matches, putting him on course for a third Golden Boot.

Salah is one of only 32 players with 100 or more Premier League goals. His 116 goals put him 21st on the all-time scoring list. Only Harry Kane (176), Jamie Vardy (128) and Romelu Lukaku (118) have more goals than Salah among active players.

But reports say Liverpool is targeting Lille forward Jonathan David. With Arsenal also rumoured to be interested, a bidding war could potentially ensue for the Lille star, who reportedly has a €55m (£46m) price tag set by his club.

Described as “fearless” by Canada manager John Herdman, the 22-year-old is not the only centre-forward being shortlisted by the Reds, with the likes of Karim Adeyemi, Darwin Nunez and Kylian Mbappe all also being linked with a move to Anfield. But David seems to have the edge.

With 13 goals, David is just three shy of Yissam Ben Yedder, Ligue 1’s topscorer. Beyond the goals though, the Canadian is incredibly mobile, and has a tireless work rate off the ball, which is why many are so pleased with the player, including fans of best Canada online casino.

He possesses the mobility, intensity, and defensive know-how in both positioning and angling to excel for a club like Liverpool, and only grow in his pressing ability.
