Thalaivaa Trailer got 1 million views in 32 hours and 2 million views within 10 days on YouTube after its release. Satellite rights has been bagged by Sun TV. The film is scheduled to release on 9 August 2013 Coinciding Eid-Ramazan.
Initially Thalaivaa movie got “U/A” certificate from censor board and production house ask for revise the certificate. Revising Committee clears movie with ‘U’ Certificate subject to some minor cuts.
