Rahul Dravid has left everyone surprised with his new never-seen-before angry avatar including current Indian captain Virat Kohli. Featuring in an advertisement, Dravid can be seen getting angry at others from his car stuck in traffic. Dravid is seen even saying “Indiranagar ka gunda hun main” (I am an Indirinagar goon).
Featuring in an ad for a Bengaluru-based credit card bill payment platform where actor Jim Sarbh is seen saying “it is like saying Rahul Dravid has anger issues” while referring to the benefits offered by the platform. Dravid then appears shouting at everyone and even breaking the side-mirror of a car standing next to him.
After the advertisement surfaced online, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli was taken aback on witnessing Dravid’s whole new avatar.
“Never seen this side of Rahul bhai,” Kohli wrote.
CRED, which deals in credit cards payments, has rolled out its first ad film for this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) featuring Dravid and actor Jim Sarbh. This is the first of six films for this year’s tournament
The campaign was written and conceptualised by Tanmay Bhat, Devaiah Bopanna, Puneet Chadha, Nupur Pai, Vishal Dayama and executed by DDB Mudra and 22Feet Tribal Worldwide
Dravid took to coaching after stepping away from international cricket in 2011. Dravid played 164 Tests, 344 ODIs and 1 T20I for India during his professional career which lasted 15 years.
Dravid coached the India A and U-19 teams from 2016 to 2019 after which he was given charge of the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. But he continues to work closely with young Indian players and monitors their progress on a regular basis.
