Emraan Hashmi to play as Azharuddin

Bollywood seems to be relying on biopics of sports personalities these days. This year Bhaag Milkha Bhaag fared well at box office and also won critical appreciation from every section of audience. And now Bollywood is getting ready to witness one more sports personality on silverscreen and he is none other than former Indian Cricket team captain Mohammad Azharuddin.

Reliable sources say that director Kunal Deshmukh who directed Emraan Hashmi in Jannat will wield megaphone for this project. After several consultations, Emraan has been selected for Azhar role. Most probably the movie will go to floors in the year 2014 and may light screens in 2015.

Making a film an Azhar will involve lot stuff apart from his cricketing career. Azhar was alleged of involving in match fixing controversy and was also banned for life by BCCI.
