Vijay is on a signing spree after Jilla. The actor has already kick started his new movie with director A R Murugadoss. This director – actor duo has already produced a super hit in the form of Thuppakki and the fans of Ilayathalapathi are expecting another hit entertainer from the two. Vijay has signed on another new movie, which is going to be directed by director Chimbu Devan. While his new movie with director A R Murugadoss has just begun barely, actor Vijay has surprised the industry by signing up for another movie.
Director Chimbu Devan is known for his historical and fantasy entertainers and without any exception his project with actor Vijay would also be a fantasy entertainer say the sources. It seems as if the shooting for this untitled flick would roll out on floors once Vijay completes shooting for his movie with director A R Murugadoss. The project is scheduled tentatively to start from September of this year. The latest buzz from the sources close to director Chimbu Devan is all about casting the lead actress opposite actor Vijay.
The sources reveal that Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been approached by director Chimbu Devan to romance actor VIjay on the screen for his movie. It seems as if the Kochadaiiyaan actress has agreed to do the role but has demanded a whooping one crore as her remuneration. This demand seems to have made director Chimbu Devan to approach actress Priyanka Chopra for the female lead role. As of now, it is not clear whether Deepika or Priyanka is in for the project. If Priyanka is in, then it would be her second movie with actor Vijay after the movie Thamizhan in which the actress made her debut appearance.
