Deepika Padukone, who is riding high on success of Chennai Express, has one more achievement in her kitty.
The actor, whose film has become the highest grosser of all time, is the only female actor whose flicks have collected a total of over Rs.500 crore at box office in a single year.
2013 has proved to be a very lucky year for Deepika with “Race 2”, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and now “Chennai Express” striking gold at the box office.
She started her year with Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2 in a glamorous avatar. The film earned Rs.100.45 crore at the box office. Then Ayan Mukherji’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani opposite Ranbir got the cash register ringing. Deepika’s chemistry with her ex Ranbir was loved by everyone. The film minted Rs.100 crore within first week of its release and has a lifetime collection of Rs.188.57 crore.
Her latest release Chennai Express is unstoppable with Rs.211.03 crore collection till now and is still counting.
