DDLJ Remake – SRK and Kajol together in picture

When sequels and remakes are being made dime a dozen, producer-director Aditya Chopra too, is thinking of remaking his debut movie, ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’, which proved to be the biggest blockbuster of its time, Bollywood had ever witnessed. The film which is still considered as a bench mark for romantic movies, gave actor Shahrukh Khan, his now famous lover boy image of Rahul.
According to reports, while Shahrukh and Kajol will make cameo appearances in the remake, Aditya Chopra is planning to cast, actors Farhan Akhtar and Mahika Sharma, in the lead roles. While in the original movie, viewers still remember the famous train scene, of Raj and Simran’s first meeting, the remake is likely to have twists and turns, keeping in mind, present times and preferences of today’s generations.
Aditya now wants to recreate the European splendor and the beautiful and colorful sunflower farms of Punjab, in his remake. There are rumors about the remake version being titled as, ‘Dulhaniya Chali Dilwale Ke Saath’. As for the supporting star-cast, roles of Amrish Puri and Anupam Kher are likely to be reprised by, Paresh Rawal and Boman Irani, respectively. However, no official announcement of the remake has come from the production house as yet.
