In a shocking incident that has come to light from Madhya Pradesh’ Bhopal, a minor boy allegedly lured a 14-year-old girl into sharing her obscene photographs and later used them to blackmail her.
The girl and the accused boy are students of the same school. A relative of the girl said that the boy began chatting with the girl on social media after befriending her in August last year. On January 30, he obtained her obscene photographs by emotionally blackmailing her. He said that he would end his life if she refused to send her intimate pictures. He also told her that he would marry her. The girl fell into his trap and shared her intimate photographs. In July, he, using her intimate photos, blackmailed her into sharing her nude photographs

After obtaining the girl’s nude photographs, the accused allegedly sent them to his elder brother and friends. Following this, they also began harassing her. Later, when the girl refused to talk to the accused, he created her fake profiles on Instagram and posted her nude photographs on them. The incident left the girl depressed.
The girl initially did not reveal anything to anyone. He mother, after noticing that something was worrying her, counselled her, following which she narrated her ordeal. Subsequently, the family approached the police and lodged a complaint against the accused.
Based on the complaint, police, on October 12, registered a case of molestation under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The prime accused has been arrested, DSP Neetu Thakur said, adding that he was sent to a juvenile home. Further investigations into the case are on.
