Veeram – Cast and Crew
Appukuty, the actor who won the coveted national award for ‘best supporting actor’ for his performance in Suseenthiran’s Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai (2011), plays a notable role in Ajith’s upcoming film Veeram which is scheduled to hit the screens all over the State and elsewhere on Pongal next month.
Tamannaah, heroine of Veeram, attempts a comeback in Tamil films by pairing up opposite Ajith for the first time in this film which has a huge star-cast in the form of Vidharth, Bala, Santhanam, Suhail, Appukutty and Ramesh Khanna besides Munish, Pradeep Rawat and Vidyulekha Raman. The audio of Veeram is to be released this Friday (20th December).
Vidharth, who debuted as hero in Tamil films with Prabhu Solomon’s crtitically acclaimed and commercially successful Mynaa a few years back, hasn’t had a hit film on his own since then though Mynaa’s heroine Amala Paul has managed to make it to the list of frontline actresses in Tamil films by bagging films opposite Vijay, Dhanush and ‘Jayam’ Ravi.
Vidharth plays one of Ajith’s brothers in the film and hopes to get noticed through his performance once the film releases. Same is the case with Appukutty who couldn’t do much of note after winning the national award. Appukutty is happy that he has got a prominent role in an Ajith-starrer and hopes the film would land up many more offers in his kitty.
Ramesh Khanna, a popular comedian who has starred with Ajith in the past in films such as Villan and Varalaaru, is also making a ‘comeback’ with Veeram.
